- Prepare the ribs by removing the membrane from the back side.
- Apply yellow mustard evenly over the ribs as a binder for the rub.
- In a bowl, mix brown sugar, paprika, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring an even coating.
- Preheat the smoker to 225°F (107°C).
- Place the ribs in the smoker and cook for 4 hours.
- Brush the barbecue sauce on the ribs during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
- Remove the ribs from the smoker and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
