  • 4 medium onions peeled and quartered
  • 1/2 cup butter unsalted
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon salt to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley chopped, for garnish

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. In a large pot, bring the water to a boil and add salt.
  2. Add the quartered onions to the boiling water and cook for about 15 minutes until tender.
  3. While the onions are boiling, melt the butter in a separate pan over medium heat.
  4. Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Once the onions are tender, drain them and add to the garlic butter mixture.
  6. Toss the onions in the garlic butter until well coated, then season with black pepper.
  7. Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
