- In a large pot, bring the water to a boil and add salt.
- Add the quartered onions to the boiling water and cook for about 15 minutes until tender.
- While the onions are boiling, melt the butter in a separate pan over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic to the melted butter and sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.
- Once the onions are tender, drain them and add to the garlic butter mixture.
- Toss the onions in the garlic butter until well coated, then season with black pepper.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
