  • 0.5 cup milk
Frosting
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 0.25 cup heavy cream
  • food coloring as needed
  • 1 cup sprinkles
  • 1 cup mini chocolate eggs

Method
 

Baking the Cupcakes
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream together the unsalted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
  5. Distribute the batter evenly into the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
  6. Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely before frosting.
Frosting the Cupcakes
  1. In a bowl, beat together the powdered sugar, unsalted butter, and heavy cream until creamy and smooth.
  2. Add food coloring as desired and mix until well incorporated.
  3. Frost the cooled cupcakes and decorate with sprinkles and mini chocolate eggs.
