  • 1 lb ground lamb (or beef)
  • 1 cup onion (diced)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 cup carrots (diced)
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
Potatoes & Dairy
  • 2 lbs potatoes (Yukon Gold or Russet)
  • 1/2 cup milk (or cream)
  • 4 tablespoons butter
Seasoning
  • Salt
  • Pepper

Method
 

Cooking Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a skillet, cook the ground lamb (or beef) over medium heat until browned; drain excess fat.
  3. Add diced onion and minced garlic; cook until onion is translucent.
  4. Stir in diced carrots, frozen peas, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, and beef broth; simmer until vegetables are tender.
  5. Boil potatoes until soft; drain and mash with milk (or cream) and butter until creamy; season with salt and pepper.
  6. In a baking dish, layer the meat mixture, then spread the mashed potatoes on top.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.

Notes
