Step-by-Step Assembly & Baking
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Generously grease a 24-cup mini muffin tin with melted butter or nonstick baking spray.
- Unroll the thawed sheet of all-butter puff pastry onto a lightly floured surface. Using a rolling pin, gently smooth out any creases into a 10x15-inch rectangle. Using a pizza cutter or sharp chef’s knife, cut the dough into 24 equal squares (approximately 2.5 inches each).
- Gently press one puff pastry square into each cavity of the mini muffin tin, allowing the corners of the pastry to point upwards to form an elegant bite-sized cup.
- Place one 3/4-inch cube of chilled French Brie cheese into the center of each pastry cup.
- Top each cube of Brie with a heaping teaspoon of whole-berry cranberry sauce (mixed with orange zest), followed by a pinch of chopped toasted pecans.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 14 to 16 minutes until the puff pastry edges are puffed, deeply golden, and crisp, and the Brie is warm and melted.
- Remove from oven and let rest in the pan for 5 minutes (this allows the cheese to settle so the bites lift out easily). Gently run a small butter knife around edges to release the cups. Transfer to a serving platter, garnish each with a tiny rosemary sprig and a light drizzle of pure maple syrup, and serve warm.
