  • 4 large yellow onions peeled
  • 8 cups water
  • 3 tablespoons Cajun seasoning adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon salt for boiling
  • 1 lemon sliced for flavor
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for drizzling

Method
 

Cooking the Onions
  1. In a large pot, bring 8 cups of water to a boil. Add salt and Cajun seasoning.
  2. Once boiling, carefully add the peeled onions and lemon slices.
  3. Reduce heat to medium and let boil for about 30 minutes or until onions are tender.
  4. Remove onions from the pot using a colander and let drain.
  5. Drizzle with olive oil before serving.
